Fair enough, though I'd expect the tank to be vented (and/or run a vented cap) and so wonder about the pressure build up?

Only asking as I recently had a one-off custom bike tank I made blown up like a balloon by some dick who was supposed to be doing a lining for my client - 50 hours of work destroyed in seconds....

I test tanks I make by standing for 24 hours with water in them (prior to lining). If you feel pressure is needed, be careful with that air line - a couple of pumps from a hand/foot pump should be more than enough

true tank will be vented
but rather do the needful from the beginning then have a issue later
cause vented tanks can still block up like you mentioned

Hi guys,

I have 54 Chevy pickup. And my tank was moved from behind the seat to under the bin. In fact I just changed from stainless to aluminum. And the stainless is for sale.

Hey Chevy, what is the size of the tank? Will check if it fits in my 68 model?
