I'm sure Brad Hall sold that very recently for a tad less....

It's one of our cars. Lots of if not all restored Mustangs sell in the USA for more than the cost of a new one. That's old news. The significant difference is new now second hand Mustang in 5 years - R400k if you're lucky - 1969 Mustang in 5 years - at the rate they're going up worldwide - double what you pay today and it has a real international dollar value.
And before anyone raises the myth of devalued by being right hand drive - a khaki coloured RHD Valiant we exported to the USA a year or so ago is in the latest Hotrod Magazine - and the owner gets offers all the time because it is RHD and they see it as different and thus more collectable in their eyes.

It also looks like those new Mustangs offered are not from a Ford Dealer.
www:amcarimports.co.za : New 67/68/69/70 RHD Mustang Fastbacks, Restomod: RHD 65-70 Mustangs, RHD Chevelle coupes, RHD 68 Camaros.
Amcar Imports : RHD 2012/13/14 Mustangs and Shelbys, F150 Raptor
Dynacorn Bodies.

Yeah in USA a 2nd hand GT 2015 go for about $30 000 vs the R990 000 for the local.
Agree that a well restored or restomod Mach 1 351C should be around $30 000 to $40 000.

Whats interesting is current exchange is R15.5 but on above 2 cars thats R32 : $1. Just interesting is what i am saying ! Not including shipping, VAT, duty etc or the desire to bring it in myself just a random observation. I often say what you see in USA in dollars will cost you double when landed in poor old SA. Seems its still true.

I would take the 69 anyway as an investment vs the 2016 as its value will drop over next few years whilst the 69 she is only going to increase.

Buckaroo you should be exporting MOPARS?

The irony here is that both Leon my partner and I are both Chevy guys if you scratched the surface really hard but have dealt mostly with Mustangs, both new and historic and Ford F150's.
In that confused state, the odd Mopar passing through is hardly noticed ( although we have a Dyncorn Challenger body that we intend building into a killer car!!).
And can you believe it we received a Facebook "like" from THE Gas Monkey Garage!
