Hey gents, The car never sold back then, the owner of the car decided to keep it, he didnt really want to sell. He's a really old gent who battled to work on the car, sit in the car, let alone drive it. Sadly, recently the guy had to relocate to a smaller house that didnt allow for the car to be properly housed, so he decided to sell it. He knew the original owner of the car, they were friends. The was his second Perana Cortina, the first one was sold to one of the Green family members, the name escapes me. He regretted selling his silver one and remembered his friend had once owned one too, so he tracked the car down in a very sorry state about 10 years ago, with no engine and gearbox. He decided to rebuild the whole car, sourced a V6 Essex motor out of a Zodiac, and sourced the Gearbox from a Sierra. Unfortunately, he never got round to finishing off the car, it still needed few small minor bits and pieces. But with age, space ect... he decided to sell it as is. At the Piston Ring club, another very elderly gent walked passed the car and noticed a small welded plate where supposedly they had welded something when the first owner still had the car, and said, hey I know this car, its Ian's car. So here is a little more info on this car. PS; I have no idea, who paints a car this beautifully and decides that jelly tots should be the inspiration for the engine bay color scheme.
