Ford Mustang fastback 1969
Ford Mustang fastback 1969
Anyone have info on this vehicle?
This is actually what I am looking for (1969), just a pity about the yellow

Seems that this car is also as Kobus and Sons. Have requested info from Petro and will post updated info if received.
Petro just came back to me. Car was sold same day the add was posted.

That car was from Cape Town, and yes, sold very quickly. In my eye, yellow is the best color for a 69 Mach 1
It seemed the car was send to All American Muscle by the lucky new owner...

IndianaJones, nice spy work - or is it your car
I would have taken that no questions asked.
I cannot believe I can't find something proper and without having to rob a bank.
Please guys and girls if you find something let me know.
Thanks

Re: Ford Mustang fastback 1969
"something" is very vague, you were asking about a 72 Mach 1, and now a 69 Mach 1, what is it that you really want?
A specific model year Mustang? A pony car? A muscle car? A hot rod?
And what is your budget for a rebuildable car, and how much for a done car?

Sorry for the confusion.
1st prize would be 1969 Mach 1 ( I love the shape of the car). However they seem to be impossible to get and way above the budget. (There is one at Kobus & sons - Only body for R210k - not touching that)
2nd would be the 1971 Mach 1 for which I am trying to gather info on the two options as per the topic "1971 Mach 1 Ford Mustang" created.
I am both open to purchasing a project or already restored/semi restored vehicle. The restored vehicle can however hide some nasty work.
My budget is around R300-450k (wife depending) now. Might have some extra to spare over coming months.
I also don't mind to wait a bit before I can get behind the wheel (if restoration project is selected).
Hope this clears thing up a bit. Don't want to offend anyone.

Re: Ford Mustang fastback 1969
Don't think you're offending anyone, just wanted to know, in order to better be on the lookout.
At this moment in time, and while the above car certainly proves it is not impossible to find a 69 Mach 1 within your budget, we don't know if it was usable as is, Jarod confirms there will still be a lot of money spend on it.
You would be far more likely to find a 69/70 coupe, not a fastback, for your stipulated amount.
But then again, regular contributors here, would know I usually think most classic cars on the market are overpriced, thus in my mind, a 71/72 Mach 1 is a R450k car, they were R250k -R350k cars a year or 2 ago, whilst off late, they are advertised for much more.
If really only those cars will do, be patient, something will pop up, don't limit yourself to what is on the market now, and network, often times these type of cars trade hands, without ever being advertised somewhere.
