Re: What is on your Christmas wishlist?
A couple of things for my Alfa Sprint
1: Dean vd Walt to sort out the metalwork
2: new interior from Elvezio.com in Italy. OE supplier when the car were new.
3: 106 Giulietta block with the correct conrods and pistons to match the car’s Veloce spec
4: all chromework to be redone.
Not much actually.
PS. 4 post lift for my garage will also help.
Thanks Santa

Re: What is on your Christmas wishlist?
Funnily enough the 3.7 conversion has never held much of an appeal to me, the increase in power is really mitigated by an apparent reduction in reliability.
Actually like the GTV as it is, enough power to keep your foot down a bit. I have the infamous cambelt to change next year so might do the cam's at the same time.

Re: What is on your Christmas wishlist?
Fellow member Sidedraught had the 3.7 kit in his 156GTA. Had no issues. Later he returned the car to original spec before he sold the car. In 3.7 spec it is a firsty beast. I think the reliability depends more on how the car is used/abused.

Re: What is on your Christmas wishlist?
The last generation Ford Ranchero produced in South Africa.
Immaculate in white. Aircon ,powersteering.Automatic.
Standard rims that have been widened an inch or two, sprayed black with all wheel nuts chrome. No wheel caps. Chrome half inch
trimmings, also called beauty rings nowadays.
The total drive train identical to the Fairmont GT plus a few items which will give the output a nice further boost. No rough idling
however. Exhaust system identical to Fairmont GT. No pipes at the back to be seen.Nothing. Slightly stiffer schocs.
Interior totally original. No fancy music apparatus .No visible big speakers . I only want to be able to play my
1960/1970 pop music with a CD or USB port. Or sometimes, Pavarotti. Depending on the weather.
Rassie will tune the Ranchero in such a way that should I flatten the gas pedal on the gravel roads here in Loxton while on vacation
the Ranchero will create even more dust. And when traveling from Loxton to Carnarvon on the tar, people will ask: What the
the hell passed me this morning?
And then I will park the Ranchero next to my Kommando in the garage, nicely cleaned, under a blanket, waiting for me when we
visist Loxton next time and when going on with my live in the Cape watching photos of the Ranchero. And Kommando of course.
