I was relaxed and chatting to my wife on our way to see the kids. Then of course a taxi had to come and spoil it by trying to force into my lane from the left side out of the yellow line, where he wasn't supposed to stop in the first place. Needless to say I forced him back into the yellow (yes I was in a big 4x4) and upset him and my wife good. He now tried everywhere to chase down the yellow lines and force me out, repeatedly shouting profanity's which upset my wife even further. I started enjoying it because the more he tried the more I locked him between slow moving busses and trucks. He then got a way to go right to the righthand turn lane and tried to squeese the guy infront of me out of his lane to get infront of me. This guy was driving a bakkie with a trailer and a quad bike and he had to climb the sidewalk to avoid an accident. I obviously made sure there was no gap for the taxi to get infront of me.

All this time he was screaming provanities at me and my wife was chewing my ear. I just ignored both of them and kept on driving as if nothing had happened. This taxi then raced down the yellow lane and over the red robot, made a u-turn at a 4 way crossing, but got himself caught in the middel with 4 lanes of traffic refusing him entry into the return road. I now noticed his single passenger screaming and waving a fist at him. He had obviously passed his turnoff and that's when I burst out laughing. For once, a taxi driver was more irate and upset than I was. O, and I also got a nod and a smile from the occupants of the bakkie with the trailer.
Now you see, that doesn't work when you're in a tiny little hatchback!
Smile and wave, boys; just smile and wave...

Batshit insane doddering old white trash hags for neighbours. :x

I will be truly happy one day when I own a G6 Rhino and can't hit any of my neighbours because they're out of range.

Grumpy old people in general is a major pet peeve of mine.

I stay in Cape Town, live in a complex, unit is owned by the company I am employed by. Every single day I have to endure abuse from my rather elderly neighbours. It's either I talk too loudly in my garden, I have the tv on too loud in my bedroom, my washing machine is too noisy, my parking is pathetic apparently, I race through the complex every morning, my car is too loud (Hyundai Getz is loud LOL), my wife takes up all the laundry space on the communal lines, I have too many parts in my garden (yeah because 2 golf bumpers are too many parts), my braai fire smoke affects the(skottle but anyway) etc etc etc

It's getting to a point where I am under constant scrutiny from them and it is practically harassment. I got back home at 1am the other morning and they blocked my parking so that I had to park in the guest parking.

What burns me the most is that if you are 25 years old, you have no right to question the views of senior citizens as that is disrespect, even if they throw racial epithets at you  (my neighbour reckons that he used to shoot "koelies" for fun back in the good old days when he was in the army, as well as passing remarks at my wife if she is outside in our garden.)

I have a meeting with the body corporate tonight, I just hope that this can be resolved, because all efforts to be amicable with them has failed. And 3 months of living here is starting to seriously piss me off to the point where all rational judgement goes out of the window 8O

Did I miss it or has no-one said anything about the lycrans? The bicycle jockeys that insist on riding in "peletons" on the narrowest of roads and then flip off anyone who dare touch their hooter to alert them to the cars behind this mobile chicane? Also those on their dirt bikes who refuse to ride on the "dirt" shoulder on roads where there are no yellow lined tar shoulders.

Oh and rude Metro officials. I feel for these guys much of the time, difficult and thankless job. But really, some of them abuse the limited powers they have far too much and make issues where there are none.

Hope your problems are solved with the meeting , if not , invite the c#*t over , then a couple of your "koelie" buddies and have him tell them the story about shooting them for fun , then stand back and watch how that works out for him .

Clearly Healthy people parking in Paraplegic parking, or clearly childless people parking in the mommy parking

As to the first - I am a big boy 6'2 and 118 kgs - used to play flanker, my friend is even taller and bigger - Judu national colours - with a DEEP voice

We observed one of these scumbuckets parking on the disabled parking - Bud knocks on the window of the black Merc with tinted windows - you know the type - window opens a crack - Bud ask the person "Scuse me ... are you paraplegic? I does not look like it - we can help - will take no time at all"

Reaction was ... hysterical - they couldn't get out of the parking quick enough...

I asked him afterwards what he would have said to someone on the Mommy parking "If she was good looking and unmarried take her on a date and rectify the matter, If it was a he? I asked innocently......"ag nee f0k Fanie sies man"was his reaction.

Some person who comes to you while you are refueling your Valiant....and asks if it is a Chev  and THEN ask you if you want to sell, while telling you some story of his dad owning one, and he has been looking for one for ages..

Usually I say YES R200000 hard cash

The R200000 hard cash comment nearly backfired once when the gentleman of Nigerian origin opened a briefcase full of cash!!! 8O 8O
