I had a similar though, not as severe mess like this to clean a few weeks ago. The bonus point is the car has now been polished/waxed completely for the next 6 months!

By the way another good tar remover is Cobra Stoep polish, the white one

Just one thing.........after seeing the tar removal qualities of margarine - an emulsion of water and vegetable fats - and the emulsifier is formaldehyde in some cases are you still prepared to eat it............

They use lecithin as the emulsifier.

Not Always Tool not always - cheaper brands tend to use the nasty stuff - Chemically Margerine is closer to things like boiled linseedoil and Turpentine.
Thankfully I have violent alergic reaction to anything soybeen related - the one major source of lecithin. So I have an excuse to go for real butter
