I am in town it seems, 2 to 10 April, maybe the Sat morning we can all meet at Spur in Toti or Scottburgh, with our cars, have a chat etc.... Not Halaal Ahmed. Or organize a rendezvous at a central location?

Just spoke with Allan - told him there could be a little meet of angry V8s on the Saturday and he said "Great man!"

So if anyone can can add to this little idea fantastic!
ps I suppose the nearer to Port Shepstone / Amanzimtoti would be better (less travelling) although will fit in with whoever / wherever turns up!

It seems as if my friend Allan can't travel much outside Port Shepstone. So if you guys do have a meet up let me know and I'll come on my own.

Tim I will give you a call next week.

Cheers Chris

peranaman wrote:Hi everyone,

I am going to visit a dear friend in Port Shepstone (Durban) 4240 between 2 April and 10 April this year.

He has a serious illness hence the need to fly 6000 miles to see him. He's only 51 and has a 3 year old boy who is so gorgeous you feel you want to kidnap him. It's such a tragic set of circumstances.

I was wondering if anyone from AMC forum lives anywhere near that area - indeed Durban area generally. In which case it might be an idea to meet up for a chat, see a muscle car and show my friend the car(s) too.

Just thinking out loud that's all.

Let me know if anyone has a brainwave on this front?

cheers Chris
Hi and welcome, when in Port Shepstone ,look for a shop called Goldwagen.
Ask the owner Jacgues/Splitfan if you and your friend can have a look at his awesome '75 splitwindow Fleetline and 356 porsche speedster replica .

It'll be good to meet up with a few or a load of you guys next Saturday. If its in Sheppie even better!

Don't go to a lot of trouble just for me. Although I hope my friend and his little lad can make.

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see by middle of next week what's happening.

All I need is a time and location. Maybe a telephone contact too? I have Tims phone already.

Looking forward to meeting some new AMC folk.

Cheers Chris

Hi everyone,

Sorry to keep updating this thread but....

My friend Allan has been given just days by the Doctors treating him. His wifes mother died on Mothers Day (yesterday) I can't begin to explain the pain this dear family is going through.

So instead of thinking about muscle cars I may well be on a bedside vigil. Allan needs a miracle as everything is a terminal prognosis.

I happen to believe in miracles and trying desperately to put logic and rationale out of my mind.

If you guys want to have a meet in Sheppie on Sat go for it. Subject to everything I've just said I'd love to pop over and say Hi to people I've only known via AMC forum.

This is a tough week my friends......

Chris

here's Allan, Rachel and little Andrew when they left Wales 2 years ago - last day in church at Bridgend. Sometimes its good to put a face to a name.

Allan does not look anything like this now.

Allan and family will be in my thoughts.
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.
