Help needed

Hi Guys.

I'm hoping someone in Cape Town can assist. A friend of mine recently inherited a Rover 75 ZT from his deceased father. He was busy with a conversion of putting a Nissan 180sx Turbo engine into the car. Very neatly done, just needs a few touch ups. We have had the car now at 2 different "mechanics" to sort out the minor tlc issues, but no one seems to be able to keep to their empty promises.

Problems are as follows:

- Alternator needs to be properly lined up
- Steel cradle that was built to house the engine seems to be touching the sump, so its leaking a little bit due to it not being able to be lined up properly
- Radiator top house routing needs to be done properly
- Some random screws loose here and there.
- air filter to be relocated and new pipes made up to fit on the turbo.

Is there anyone on this forum that knows were we can take the car to have it sorted ASAP? Preferably in the norther subs......

Car is currently at Euro Motor clinic but after 4 weeks we still don't even have a quotation.

Please help a brother out

Andre

Always difficult recommending a supplier, especially if you don't know them personally, as in this day and age good service is the exception rather than the rule.

You could perhaps try Zeeline Performance, in Athlone Industria, I've heard good things about them, especially regarding Nissan engine conversions. 072 213 2382

Does your friend have a Rover 75 or MG ZT? Both was of course FWD, except for the V8.

And typically the Nissan 180SX engine comes in the longitudinal RWD layout, why didn't he use a SR20 turbo, that can also be sourced from a FWD platform car?

yeah it is the MG ZT. I have no idea why he chose hat motor. Before his father passed away I remember him telling me he saw the conversion done on a UK forum somewhere.

Ill give them a call.

Thanks

Andre
