these 2 Fords, a Cortina MK3 and Falcon GT will make pro stock dragsters look slow. small block ford motors twin turbos basically stock suspension and small tyres.

Seriously Impressive , these Aussies can build quick vehicles, not space frame specials, unibody steel cars these

A Bugatti Veyron will be pulling away and these 2 cars will be gone..

Thanks Gavin !!

Cool videos for sure.

The Aussies CAN build great engines, especially Fords.

This was a good post !!

What I'd like to know is why they use two different make heads on the engine below ?

I am just curious:
Which parts of that engine are Ford parts? What makes it a Ford engine? The block, pistons, heads, crank, etc are all different make parts.

Ford Windsor block design makes it a Ford, but yes its all aftermarket go fast stuff..

Who cares that it is only FORD in the Windsor name, 99.9% of Mopar, Chevy, Nissan GTR's etc etc in the drag racing scene that have serious power mods have nothing std from the manufacturers anyway,

obviously Dandy Engines in OZ have their own spec of components specially made up for their requirements BUT a small block 380 CI motor on turbos and NO nitrous that has 2400HP is brilliant in my books. The best thing about these 2 CARS is that they are stock body and basically stock suspension and not light weight space frame chassis with fibreglass bodies on top.

I am reading up on Dandy engines to find out what all they do in their motors, brilliant stuff

Lots of blood sweat and tears must have gone into those cars, and it shows, kudos to the builders.

It gets a bit hairy on the top end of that strip, some nice recoveries. 8O
Also the track seems very wide?

It's the same head just flipped for the other cylinder bank

Warren,

What confused me was when he put a KAASE c-400 head on the one side, and then a CHI head on the other. Guess they are the same heads, with KAASE (American) and CHI (Australian) companies having a product they jointly developed.

Correct Those heads are manufactured by CHI and Use the John Kaase cnc porting program ,same head he uses on the clevelands at engine masters.

Seen all of these in person on the track, actually saw the blue Cortina yesterday at Jamboree run some 6 second passes. It is very impressive how they can run those times on a 275 radial tyre. The main radial tyre class is all mostly 8th mile now as the cars get to unstable at high speed on the quarter mile track.Dandy Engines have got some very fast customer cars, all these cars have a lot of time and money in them.Joe has had that Cortina for over 30 years now.Look up on YouTube the x275 class racing, some street driven 7 second cars on there like Terry Seng with a Commodore, full trim, steel body and towing a trailer from Brisbane to Sydney for racing and then drive back,Real street car,not like the Americans.
