Newbie from Cape Town

Post by motor1 » Wed 19 Aug 2009, 13:38

Hi Guys,

My name is Youven, and I'm a member of Cape ST Owners. I don't have an ST, I drive a 2,0 Mondeo!

I have always had a love affair with muscle cars, esp. Fords, in particular the Sierra/ Sapphire V8's and Mustangs and 351GT. I started driving with a Ford, and my 1st car was a '67 Cortina mkII.

Also had a V6 Sierra which I should never have sold. Your forum is awesome, and I get jealous when I see the cars you guys have! One day, one day . . .

Anyway, will chat to you guys later.

PS Hope this is in the right section, couldn't find a "newbiezzz' section. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

Thanks again, guys. Man I wish I could afford that Saff V8! For the future, unfortunately :( I'm in retail, and the recession is hitting HARD! But in time, all good things shall come. You guys must let me know when there is a meetup in the Cape, I would LOVE to have a look at some of your cars. In faact, I'm sure a good number of capestowners would join as well.

If anybody is interested, we are having a parkoff at Porters Auto in Town tomorrow (Thursday) at about 7.30pm. They are our sponsors, and it's a bring and braai night out. Everybody is welcome but if any of you rock up with your beauties, I take full credit for you being there! lol

With a few minor adjustments and an oil change,my stove 6 is running at 135hp,
just shy of 150hp from a stock 283 SB chevy.I will be adding some grocceries
to it soon to up the HP rating and no im not spending big bucks because I read
Car Craft magazine, great for low budget projects. :D

May bring the Perana through depending on how the day goes...
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.
