I have a coupe from 75 with different numbers on the engine and serial number plate. I have never seen this before and on my other Perana`s the numbers are the same on the plate.
It is written: Eng.no 08xxA Ser.no 10xx
The difference is close to 200 and not anyone I have spoken to understands why it is written an A after the eng.no.
Can anyone clarify this?

Re: BG identification plate.
Can you please post a picture of this because engine numbers followed by a A usually designate V6 cars. I assume the car has a BG plate?74 Granada Ghia wrote: ↑Wed 31 Jan 2018, 19:52I have a coupe from 75 with different numbers on the engine and serial number plate. The information I wrote is from the BG plate mounted on the left side on the slam panel.
Re: BG identification plate.
I have never ever seen a BG V8 engine number end with A. However, there is a V6 Mk3 Perana with a engine number which contain an A.74 Granada Ghia wrote: ↑Thu 01 Feb 2018, 16:09The information I wrote is from the BG plate mounted on the left side on the slam panel.
