Tiaan I know of a guy who bought a new C6 Corvette in US (obviously), then shipped it to Australia, had it converted to RHD there, then brought it in to SA.

Where there is a will there is a way!!!! (And shit load of money, I presume)

Thats my point, if you want to make a shelby clone, why put a shaker on it?

Talking about Mustangs, this might surprise a few people but back in 1971-72 a Boss 302 Mustang raced in SA, it was psrt of the Springbok Series and won its class twice and even mixed it with the Lola's on occasion.

Was thinking about Mustangs the other day and having stated my favorites there is perhaps only one Mustang I would REALLY want....the Bud Moore, Parnelli Jones Boss 302 race car.....to me that car is the holy grail of Mustangs.

As an aside a friend is very close to finishing his Boss 302 resto but its being fitted with a full imported custom built Roush 427 and period Paxton Supercharger, the orginal 302 will be kept. Will post pictures as soon as I see the car...
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.

I remember that car,I think I have some pics somewhere, must look for them.

The car has been totally restored with a documented history and I beleive is owned by a pvt collector.

Love to see the pics of your friends car when done..

Hi Guys

Did anyone watch ESPN last night? Unfortunately I only caught part of the program, but what I saw was incredible. They were auctioning an original 1970 BOSS 429 which had only done 61 miles on the clock. This was a beaut and it sold for 350000 U.S. Apparently Ford had built this car to be used by the NHRA and possibly NASCAR but they changed their mind and pushed the car inside a warehouse totally unmodified where it stayed until now.

Another Mustang of the same year was a fully restored 302 in canary yellow and black This car was also fantastically turned out and if I remember correctly it sold for about 75000 U.S.
