78 Beetle
I know that this is not a muscle car but please indulge me.
We bought this car from a forum member Johan Weepenar a few months ago. The car was "immaculate" condition however we decided to lift its standards a bit. I think Hitler will not be able to fault this car now
the car had little rust around the back window and a few spots and marks here and there. The car was give to our panelbeater who is not a bodyfiller guru and he removed the rust and stripped the car down. new plating was welded in place. he tried to touch up the worked area but couldn't get it perfect so he gave it a full respray. the windscreen rubber and beadings were sourced from the UK and stainless steel wheel trims from Mexico (R2600 FFS)
New wheelnuts were CNC'd out of axle steel and chromed. the runningboards were refurbished with new rubber also.
I think I can now put my head on the block and say that this car is now immaculate.

Hi Alvin
Very nice work done on the beetle!
Your panelbeater seem to know his stuff, and making that bit of extra effort... Is he recommendable to do some other older cars too?
