Lekker.

Just curious why is your revcounter at 1.5 and speedo at 0?

Enjoy, I mine out for the first time in 6 months last weekend, they realy catch the eye.

Speedo issue is driving me crazy. Maybe you got an answer for me.

First speedo drive i got from Oz was wrong, 17t, nothing worked. Toploader uses 19T.
So i got the 19T last week and put it in. Speedometer doesnt move and odometer turns backwards?

The speedo was overhauled but everything can only go in 1 way, so it cant be assembled wrong.

If you take the drive out and turn it by hand, speedo works.

So obviously its turning the wrong way from the gearbox? But how?

Sho

You kind of got me there. All I can think is that it must be the speedo. Is the inner cable not maybe to short?

My dad and I had a similar issue with the Perana, turned out it was an issue with the cable. When you pull the speedo drive gear out the box is it chewed up or is there evidence it was turning?

Check the routing of the cable, if its too kinked the speed wont work.

Sorted out. the speedo drive on the main shaft in the gearbox was incorrect. got the correct one from oz and it's running like a dream.

Took her for a drive on saturday to test a few things, and then to angela's picnic yesterday....such a beautiful, powerful drive.
