Hi Everyone.
Received the vin plate on Thursday.
Going to strip the car this week coming and then it is off to sandblasting and body work.

It's been a long struggle, and I am eager to get started. With all the delays it is a late start and I hope to be finished in time for the Nasrec show end of the year.

I will post updates as often as possible.

Regards
Gareth

Update.
Started with the build of the car. Going a bit slow at the moment, but don't want to rush it.

Nice Idea! The original lenses are hard to come by! I busted the Kadette speedo! It seized up and broke the cable. Fixed the cable and replaced the original instrument housing! NS! The booster has been fitted and works well! By the way; The Ranger production ended up with a 3.45 diff ratio! The Kadette had a 3.7 diff! I personally would go for a R21 gearbox and convert the 3.7 to a 3.45. Rear brakes, I like the Audi A4 calipers, The Opel Astra front disk rotors (They fit perfectly -same PCD) Only thing is to go to 15" Rims. You saw what I did! 8O

Hi Johann
Sorry about the speedo. Good to see the brake booster in.
Got a R25 box to go with the C20xe engine. Not sure of the diff ratio going to use yet.
Building new suspension to cater for the wheels.

I note the x5 PCD rims! The Astra rotors won't work! What are/have you fitted?

It will probably be from an astra H.
But still looking at options.

Sadly, my Kadett build came to a grinding hault.
The guy working on my car (body & paint) just was not coming to the party.
Not doing what I asked for and always having excuses why no progress was made. Even though I had paid him in full.
I have continued with my 48 Chevy and plan to be finished with tis project in the next few month.
Will resurrect the kadett project when the Chevy is done.
