Chris tell them about the guy who was determined that he had seen it in ZA in the 1970's - he (thought he) knew what he was looking at :)

At Silverstone a South African guy in his late 60s came up to me and looking like he'd seen a ghost said, "I saw this car race in South Africa in the 1970s. I won a few race championships myself in a different class. Wow, I can't believe you have A2 here!"

I then explained what he was really looking at. He finally accepted I was telling the truth.

I didn't get his name. But he said he would contact me. So will post if he does.

Wow that car is stunning, have the Classic Ford mag from a few years ago with the build. (I take it it was your car and there is not another one ??)

To bring cars to SA it might be worth chatting to Peter Du Toit who owns Zwartkops raceway, he is invoved with the invites for all the people and cars that come to SA for that meeting once a year.

The A2 replica is part of Wengler Racing stable in Luxembourg now.
I wanted to bring it to ZA two years ago, but it just didn't transpire. Yes same car as the magazine shoot.
