Originally from Kempton Park but imigrated to Randburg.
I took the head light surround and worked out all the dents with a hammer and dolly and then scuffed them, primmed and painted them with a matt black spray. I also went down to Autostyle and got a set of golf lights as the ones that came on the car were stuffed and the ones i could find were either not the same style or the glass was broken.
I also had the bumper sprayed the same colour as the truck and bassically had to throw away most of the mounts ect due to rust.... i did at first not want it back on but decided it looked better after with it after a late nite itch in the pants.
After hunting around some dodgey areas looking for replacement grills i decided to make my own.
I basically had to make a templated from a broken one and took black mesh and used a hammer and wooden block to form it. Got it right the second time with a thicker mesh. It changes the entire look of the truck. I tried to fix the old one and sparyed it but it wasnt looking good. My dad and I still got a few spares lying around.Along with two other El Camino's we have.
The dash i got was also a mess. I had to strip the vinyl off it as it had more cracks and holes than the ANC. I shopped around and found dudes in edenvale who managed to cover it for me along with the bench seat.
I made the door panels my self (will post pics) as all the ones we found on salvage or wrecked ones couldnt be used and i also had to used the hammer and dolly on the top part of the metal piece that the wood connects to.
