Re: V8GFISH Ride
That perana looks brilliant! Please post some more pictures. How original is it, and how is the performance?
I went to have a look at a perana yesterday - but the perana tag is missing and I dont really know enough to ensure it isnt a fake.
If you can please post or pm some closeup pics of the modifications to the steering, radiator, engine mountings, shock towers etc, as I would love to have nice pictures of them when I go and look at a perana for sale.
Cheers
Tiaan

Yeah she's the real deal all right. It's got all the matching numbers as well. Done heaps on it since i brought it but have keep it as genuine as possible. For a factory made car the performance is pretty impressive. Have you been looking for a Perana long?

Re: V8GFISH Ride
I have been looking for a perana for about a year now. But my budget is very limited, have seen a few obvious fakes in the process so I am very wary (hope that is spelled right).

Yeah, trying to pass one off as a genuine one just ain't cricket!! It's ok having a made up one (as i used to have years ago and loved it) but trying to sell one as original when you know it's not is BS. If i hear of one going here i'll let you know but it dosn't happen very often. The Perana forum is a good place to start plus they have heaps of pics and if you need to know something they are very helpfull

Yes the capriperana forum is a great place. Nice bunch of guys. I post on there from time to time, but not having a perana limits the contribution I can make.

Re: V8GFISH Ride
Is it your perana that you are sending in for restoration?

Re: V8GFISH Ride
Not really a resto, i'm just getting a few things redone, gards, e/bay, apron, new window rubbers. The paint was pretty good anyway.
I'm picking it up in a couple of days so i'm looking foward to seeing how good the new paint job has come up.
Then i'm pulling out the dash and getting it recovered

A very nice car, can you tell me where the engine number should be, and what a real BG number looks like. Thanks Rassie.
