JAGUAR XF 4.2 V8

Post by johan wepener » Wed 21 Dec 2016, 13:25

For two decades I have owned only BMW 525 cars. I wanted to upgrade recently but newer BMW 5 series are only

available with runflats. For many reasons runflats are ,for me, a no-no.

After considering all available options I bought a 2008 model Jaguar 4.2 V8 with 67,000km. So far, so good. And

it has a nice V8 growl, very subdued. Nice pulling power. I have tested the fuel consumption and could not

believe at first. So I retested to make sure. On the open high way, at constant 120 kph and aircon fully

operational all the time, the consumption is 10,8 kilometer per liter. City driving I know will be heavy.

This is the first time I own a V8 which is my daily commuter. And I have to admit that it is quite nice.

It's a solid car and stunning to drive. Very comfortable too. Enjoy!
