Looking for a V8 :-)

Post by ballistic » Thu 26 Dec 2013, 14:34

Well, as the heading says, I'm looking for a v8. Well I know it's a very broad request, but I aint choosy. Maybe I am :-( Anyway, I have a Golf 4 1.6i to trade for it, blue in colour, mechanically good, full service history, papers, spare keys, accident free body with slight fading on the bonnet and roof. Lastly, it's lekka light on fuel LOL.

Looking for a daily driver v8 car/bakkie, dont mind slight interior work etc, dont want anything majorly wrong with it, as the Golf is my only car I cant afford to have my new car standing waiting for repairs etc. So, if anybody has anything they would like to trade then please let me know. I could email a pic or 2 of my car.

Cheers and hope to hear from someone soon :-)

PS: I'm out in the Cape, Southern Suburbs to be exact

Quick question, have you banked on the fact an old V8 will use a lot more fuel than a 1.6 Golf... :D

Hi ZA Perana, I certainly have, and prepared to suffer the consequences. I cant get the damn sound of a v8 out of my head. Nothing on God's beautifull planet sounds like it. I've always wanted one, could just never get my grubby little hands on one.

Just by the way, any idea on the average consumption of a standard v8? I know it's a bit hard to say but just more or less. Are we looking at 4/5/6 k's to a litre?

oooh damn, I wear a size 8. That aint to bad though. Im sure here is some size 13's on the forum. But I'm cool with that. This more of a passion now than anything else. I 'm not to worried about the consumption.
