The price of the impala is rather steep but there's some desirable trucks in the back ground. perhaps some of them are "homeless"...
Hang on, saw this in a cartoon, I think I can pull it off.

They probably want 450k for the trucks. I just cant justify those prices. If this is the way the car prices are going
then i'll be ok. My collection should be worth around 5 Bar then. I think importing cars looks like a better option for me.

It's definitely becoming feasible to import but isn't there restrictions on imports on left hand drives?. you're in a very fortunate position I would say.

At R695K that car should be in more than show room condition and have had a full restoration.

The problem is some people think they have gold. Those 61 ragtops are not the most desirable cars and it's a base model with a 283. That's about a $6000 dollar car in the states. It's still nice but imagine you buy it for 695k . You still got to spend another 150-200k to get it looking good. Do your maths and you'll soon be hitting a bar for a car that is worth about 250k restored on a good day.

The strange thing is that the market is inflating the prices because somewhere out there, there are idiots paying these prices for these cars.... :? Supply and demand.

It's something I don't understand about the Ford Mustangs as well. :?
You kick one out from behind every second bush but they are ridiculously expensive. what's the point of paying that price to own the same classic car as the guy down the street, up the street and two streets down?
