I see NU plates on trailer, who is doing body work? And mechanical work on your truck? Would love to pop in and see it.

The whole build is being done by Concept Cars in Hillcrest, some of the mechanical work will be outsourced though.

They're busy with a 69 Mustang rebuild at the moment... one day when i'm big!!

Okay, I was up there about 3 weeks ago, I saw your truck. But was before it was sprayed...

Anyone able to advise on what length steering column to fit? Will be fitting one with a gear shifter...

Anyone able to assist with fitment of seatbelts? I'm assuming the 59 Apache only had lap belts fitted because i cannot find any 3 point belts in the LMC catelogue... Will be fitting a lap belt for the middle but want to fit 3 point belts for the driver and passenger sides but need all three belts to be the same and obviously comfortable and legal.

My 57 had no belts at all. In my opinion Lap belts are more unsafe, all it will ensure is you'll smash head on steering wheel. Body strong enough to fit 3 point belts. Do You want GM belts, because you can buy retractables in Durban.

i got a set of seat belts for my '55 chevy truck but never got it fitted. will look at it this weekend and revert to you.

Thanks chaps, will need a lap belt for the centre seat but will be fitting retractable (3 points) on the driver and passenger side.

As the build nears completion these smaller issues are becoming more apparent!!

Quick update, build is progressing well. Most of the parts have arrived, just waiting on the steering column which should get to Durbs on Wednesday. The new windscreen arrived smashed from the USA, but have made a plan to get another new one.

Busy building the new petrol tank, wooden bed and a few bits and pieces. Wiring harness will hopefully be installed next week before we start working on the interior.

Hoping to have it on the road by the end of July.
