Are you happy with Concept Cars? How are they performing time & budget wise vs what was promised?

Who built and fitted the motor?

Budget wise.... no issues at all. Gary has been outstanding all the way through and gone the extra mile to make sure my build is exactly what i wanted.

Time has been frustrating to be honest. Was expecting the build to be done a few months ago but there have been a few external factors which have influenced this. Only a few things left to do so really hoping they're going to push hard over the next couple of weeks to get this build over the line.

First bought a 350 (mounted in one of my earlier pics with the primer) from Rocket 88 but then took it out when i found a newly built stroked 383 in Richards Bay. Still need to sell the other 350, camel heads, etc that i've accumulated with this build.

All in all very happy with Concept Cars...

The truck looks awesome! Am so Jealous right now!

I had a question though. On 8 September 2013, you posted some photos of the truck's body panels covered in red oxide primer. Some of the panels show some rust damage. Do you have any photos of how they dealt with this?

Might have made a rookie error here being my first build, but just hoping one of you good folk are able to giude me in the right direction.

About to go through the motions of getting the vehicle registered and didn't even consider that the lack of paperwork may be an issue (was given the body but can't find any numbers, purchased the apache chassis from another guy locally and then bought the engine from a 3rd guy). I have a letter from the guy who gave me the body and the chassis has numbers but yet to be confirmed if it's registered on the system, although i doubt it. No issues with the engine as that came out of a registered vehicle and have all the relevant paperwork for that.

Given the amount of money invested in this build, i'd really like to have it properly registered and not as a rebuild/Code 3. Anyone got any suggestions on how i can go about doing same, really anxious to get this sorted and willing to do whatever needs to be done to get it properly registered!

Thanks!

Hey
There should be a chassis number on the passenger side on the chassis somewhere under the fender/door section. Before i started with my build i went to the SAPS clearance and ran the number, it wasn't on the system neither was it reported stolen. The guys here at the clearance office said to bring the Truck back to them when its done, they will check it up send it to the weigh bridge and get it weighed and stamped and then all the necessary paper work goes to Pmb and then we wait. This was the procedure as explained by the guys at my local SAPS clearance office. i also just bought my project with a rolling chassis ( no engine ) but i have the original bill of sale from the guy i purchased it from with his id number. You may need that, im not sure yet as i am not close to registering mine yet. Hope this helps somewhat.
