alvin chetty wrote:your best bet is going to be the E36 M3 diff. I used the 328i diff and it worked fine. the installation is not too difficult. I also did the 540 diff on sapphire cradle. I got the setup loose so if you want to have a look at it and do your own wont be a problem.
Hi Alvin,
Will definitely come have a look. I have a 3.08 in at the moment.
Decided to leave it in and address the rear end when the car is driving.
I would have to see how my ratios work out with the Tremec.

Cheers,

Hi Guys,
Hope all is well. Haven't posted in a while but did quite a bit of work to the car.
Big issue was the lower section of my sump.
Did a mock up to get the volume right then took it to a guy that really f@## it up.
Barry sorted it for me. Thanks Barry for a job well done.
Some pic of the sump before and after.

Now just a good clean and seal both section to the sub then all sorted.

Hi Guys and Gals if any. Long time no post.
Been really busy and my project came to a standstill for a long time. Was even thinking about selling it but just locked it away out of sight for a while.
Have a bit of time now so i will hopefully go the whole nine yards.
Making a couple of changes. Tremec TKO 500 coming out and GForce 6 spd filling that space.
Will update as I go along.

Regards to all.

Would love to see what this Sapphire is capable of, when done.
Have been dreaming of a turbo Falcon for some time, myself.

Did you go with the BMW diff?
Are you keeping the stock turbo manifold, or fabricating a custom manifold?
Where did you find a G-Force box?

I had lots of issues with engineers. Waiting for things to be done. Spacing for new plenum an issue. Using standard one for now. Converted from drive by wire to cable.
Brought the GForce from the states. My tremec didn't even see a run, not even any gears have been selected. Brand new
Management Splitronice Mercury Advanced wired in place.
Took off plenum to get injectors out and cleaned. Oil filter feed was removed and cleaned and plenty more.
Diff is now 3.08. Will look at BMW setup later.
Will post pics shortly and maybe my mad plan of twin charging, so supercharge and turbo.
Working out the valve scenarios.

Chat soon.
Regards

Hi Shaun,
How you bud?
Yes my build has been dormant for a long time and yes was even going to abandon it as well..
My time has been very limited and stressful with other commitments.

So, i did quite a bit of this and that, can't even remember where i last stopped so looked at my list and going from there.
Also a bit scared to post some pics as i might be burned at the stake!
I had to do some surgery on the car because of height and length restrictions. Paint job suffered a bit but hey it was do or toss everything and go V8 or sell as is!
In one of my previous posts i mentioned the turbo was busted so i took it away and was told to bin it and buy new. Stripped it down for measurements.
