How to remove genkem glue?

Post by Christo » Wed 13 May 2015, 10:52

Morning All.

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove old genkem glue from my car?

I removed old door rubbers but struggle to remove the old glue.

Thank You
Kind Regards
Christo

Try Xylene. Most builders or penny pinchers stock it. Removes glue and residue without any damage to paint or plastic.

Normal power paraffin. Apply with a rag and let it work for a minute or so, then rub it off. Won't harm the paint.

I use silicone remover.

It is available from auto paint supply stores. I get mine from Auto Paint Centre in Centurion. It does not harm the surface being cleaned, whether it is painted metal or plastic.
