Help with holley

Post by Shaunp » Fri 13 Nov 2015, 16:22

Hi muscle guys. Hope all is well. I have a holley 4 barrel. Was testing it but I have a problem, hoping you can help. I installed the fuel line directly to the carb without the regulator. Fuel is coming out the bolt on top of where the vacuum hose for the dizzy goes an a lot a fuel is coming out the two tubes when the air filter goes.

Hi Shaun. If you are running a regulator then I assume you have a holley blue pump rather than the red. Without the regulator the blue pump will push 13 psi. Way too high for the holley needle and seats. That's why its pushing fuel out of the bowl vent. A holley likes 6 to 7 psi so set your regulator there and your problem will be solved.

Are there different Holley 4 barrels?

And if so, how do you know which one you have.

Where can one buy a regulator?
