V8 Mechanic

Post by mikeson » Thu 19 Jan 2017, 14:49

Hi Guys,

Anyone that can recommend a good V8 mechanic in the Randburg area?

I have finally found my V8 capri, but it seems to have huge oil issues (got back from holiday with about a litre of oil under it), brake issues and some electrical. I just need someone to take it to the level that I can drive and enjoy it.
I am sure this question has been asked before, but as we all know good mechanics come and go.

Would appreciate any help!

Mike

Not Randburg, but Gavin Wilkins in Alrode knows his Fords inside out.

Thanks Guys - this forum is always very helpful!!

I think I will try snakepit as this seems the closest - I am just not confident enough to drive it further.

Someone also recommended US powersport in Strijdom park - anyone know them?

Not my experience, and not to step on any toes, might have been a temporary issue, but just take note...

Thanks for the heads up Indiana!
Had a bad experience last year with a reputable shop I trusted driving my triumph into a wall so not too keen for a repeat!
Will go chat to them however and see how it goes. Might also swing past US powersports and see their set up.
