Re: 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo
Update:
She was sanded down to bare metal. Body still very good, no rust and almost no body putty. Nice solid body.
Was then painted a thick white primer to see any marks which needed attention.
After that another primer and then the final coat.

Re: 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo
I am busy putting the pontiac back together.
On the firewal, between the two wipers, is this electric wire. I can see from the colour of it that it made a short circuit.
It was not connected to anything when I disassembled the vehicle.
Does anybody know what this is for?
Also the flap in the second picture, where does that go?

The flap looks like the fresh air/ recirculation flap for the air conditioning?

Is the wire not for the aerial?
My Trans Am has the aerial built into the windscreen and the wire comes out the bottom.
The flap goes on the cowl. I think it recirculates fresh air from outside and is vacuum driven.

Mmm, not sure which clips you are referring to. Wurth normally stock loads of different clips locally. FBodywarehouse.com may also have what you're looking for.pietpetoors wrote:O ja Marco, another thing I wanted to ask, do you know of a place in rsa where I can get those plastic clips one use for the chrome beadings for the doors? Mine is back on the road. Still a few things to sort out and finish up, but been driving her around and slowly sorting out small things.
I've got 17's on. Toyo Proxes 255's all round.
