Introduction

Post by JackG » Wed 19 Dec 2018, 09:03

Hi,
My Name is Jack and I work for Robert Bosch at their biggest Electronic plant in Hungary Hatvan where I also stay. But I am South African and love everything about the V8. I myself own one of the very rare Ford Failane 500 1962 which is stored at my fathers house in South africa. I joined this forum to give some info or find some info from a V8 fan point of view and also from a Bosch point of view. My father is the reason for my love of V8 and he owns a few of them and keep alot of spares in his yard. Hope to give as much info as I would like to recieve. :D
Thanks Jack

Welcome to the forum! As an aside based on pictures Hungary looks to be an interesting country, are you enjoying working there?

Hi,
Will post pics of the collections as soon as I get them from SA.
My father is old school and needs assistance answering the cell phone...
So getting pics is hard.. ;)
Well must say Hungary is great so far it is the Europe feeling without the expensive prices.
I know that most Europian country looks down on Hungary but I like it here.
Just getting use to the Europian cold is new to me.
You don't really see old muscle cars here but the newer mustang type is very popular here.

I don't have a pic of my fairlane 1962 but found one on the internet that looks the same with the white vinyl roof and blue colour.
My dad purchased her for me when i was around 2 years old and kept her all these years as a gift to me.
To this day I am stuggling to find the same kind of car in SA, found a few in USA and Australia.
She might be the last of her kind in SA...

HI Guys,

Tommy from Sydney,Australia and really love the Fairmont Gt. I have been looking but no luck and hoping I can get some help here and be able to meet and see some GT when I fly over one day for the right car.

It's my Dream to find a original Fairmont Gt

Regards Tommy
