missing mopar

Post by mantaray » Fri 19 Jun 2009, 17:17

Hi Guy's,
Sitting here thinking back it occured to me how many muscle cars i had actually driven in but never owned.
One such car was an original plymouth barracuda LHD 318 V8 four on the floor1968.

my cousin Faried owned the car very briefly(amongst other very desirable cars)

eg: 454 powered firebird, 641/2 mustang convertable,Javilins and other countless coupe stangs.

the car that really stood out was the plymouth, a sort of royal blue with flames over the front ,it also had the then cool "cyclone" smiths wheels.

He consequently sold or swopped it to a chap from walmer estate (CAPE TOWN)
I think his name was Duncan, ran or still does a workshop in Paarden eiland.

the car just disapeared , do any of you Cape Town folk remember seeing this beauty???

what a unique and rare musclecar, still wish i could find that car!!!

Howzit ray, where are the pics of the Chevair you were supposed to post.

fitted the shift kit last week, cleaning up the wiring some more then drop in the motor next week, finally my dad is coming up for holiday, and assisting me with the exhaust, then it's on to the track.

Try motor stars in the Cape,They have a LHD baracuda with a floor shift with a 318.
The last time I saw the car it was a shocking green color with chrome wheels. That
car has been around awhile.
cheers
