289 Ford V8 setup
Re: 289 Ford V8 setup
Sorry to hi-jack your thread but is the yellow escort's engine still standard, I assume it's 1600?

Re: 289 Ford V8 setup
Hi it's cool,
Ummm... Ja it's, dead standard 1600 sport apart from the typical branches and freeflow exhaust and electronic distributor, also threw out the 4speed for a type9 5speed Gearbox!
Why you asking if I may ask...

Hi Jaco
That a lot of smoke for a std 1600........I've never driven one of those 1600 kent? engines and hopefully it can do the same.

Jip its a 1600 kent engine with a 32 weber carb, that lots of smoke was a bit aided with a little water... and my wheel size is a bit small 175/65/13, so in general she loose traction quite easyirpac wrote:Hi Jaco

Re: 289 Ford V8 setup
LOL
Sorry man Johan was only wishing goodluck with the start up of the engine, and saying thanks for the Ford V6 Camshaft I gave him to get machined that it went good.
then I said to Johan its a pleasure and what profile it is now if its a wild one and he must let me know if it made a difference to the power or not
