Hi Guys,
This is where I'm at. Car needs a good clean in the engine bay but will do this before final fit.

Ready to be hoisted up

Note the very special wooden stands! I paid lotsa money for them!!!

Very tight fit :|

This is fitted temporary as i needed to check rack and cross member clearances. Also i am altering the sump as it has too little ground clearance.

Got a long list of parts on order as well so kinda have to wait until these arrive. I will update when i can.

Cheers :)

Hi Ranchero,
It is kinda cramped in there but the motor has to go further. I forgot to take off the water pipe running round the back of the head so it knocked up against the firewall.
Plenty of space for my radiator and fan though.

Does anyone know if the valve springs on these engines are similar to the V8's?
Rand is very weak at the moment and a set of springs from down under will cost me R5.5K!!!

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

I cant say whether or not they are the same but if you get a sample i've got v8 ford and chevy springs for comparison.
